The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford Mustang driven by Dalton Lee Keller, 17, Russell, was southbound on 180th Street, approximately 11 miles north of Russell.

The driver lost control of the vehicle, and it entered the west ditch. The driver over-corrected, and the vehicle slid into the east ditch, rolling once.

There were three 17-year-old passengers in the vehicle, all from Russell.

A mother of one of the teens told Hays Post on Monday morning there were only minor injuries.

The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.

Corrected, 11:40 a.m.: Initial reports that all four of the teens were hospitalized were incorrect. One was transported to a Russell hospital by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries, according to the KHP.
