Emprise Bank customers in Hays will be banking at a completely remodeled bank at 1101 E. 27th by Christmas.
According to Wayne Woofter, Emprise Bank market manager, construction of the new bank most likely will be finished before the contract date of Dec. 15.
“It is good news, (construction) is absolutely on track,” he said.
Woofter said the outside brick work is almost complete and work on the interior will begin soon.
“For a while, when people drive by, it will look like nothing is going on,” he said.
However, Woofter said plenty of work will be going on inside.
The new bank will be double the size of the previous building and will provide more efficiency.
The former 27th Street Emprise branch was demolished in February to make room for a bigger and more modern facility.
Once the 27th Street location is complete, Emprise Bank at 1200 Main will close. Most of the employees at the Main Street location will move to the rebuilt bank on 27th, with a few moving to the 2701 Hall Emprise.
“If you bank at the Main location, you will see the same familiar faces at the new building,” Woofer said.
Some employees could be shifted between the two locations.
“We will just have to see where (customer) traffic is and adjust,” Woofter said.
