Overnight rain doesn’t amount to much in NW Kansas

A smattering of rain fell overnight around the region, including early report of nearly two-tenths in eastern Trego County.

In Hays, 0.03 inches fell, with similar reports in Ellis and the northern portion of Ellis County. Rush County had a report of 0.34 inches.

The heaviest rain Tuesday night fell well south of the region, with Hodgeman, Ford and Kiowa counties getting more than an inch of overnight precipitation.

After a wet start to the week, expect the skies to clear through the weekend.
