A Lucas man was injured in a rollover accident in Russell County (3 miles south of Lucas), shortly before midnight Thursday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 49-year-old Monty Hower was traveling west on Beatty road at a high rate of speed when Hower lost control and over corrected. The vehicle entered a pasture where it rolled one quarter times and came to rest on the north side on the drivers side.

Hower was injured and transported to Ellsworth County Medical Center. His condition has not been released.
