HUTCHINSON- Four people were injured in an accident just before 9 p.m. on Friday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1988 Chrysler passenger car driven by Kody D. Pulliam, 26, Anthony, was northbound on K61 four miles north of Hutchinson in the outside lane. The driver attempted to make a u-turn through the median.

A 2011 Chevy 4 door driven by Kenneth S. Gawanda, 48, McPherson, was northbound in the inside lane and struck the Chrysler on the driver’s side.

Gawanda, and passengers in the Chevy Celeste M. Burger, 33, and 2 children, all of McPherson were transported to Hutchinson Regional

Medical Center. Pulliam was not injured.

The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
