EUREKA, Kan- A Kansas man died in an accident just before 9:30 p.m. on Monday in Greenwood County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Chevy Utility vehicle driven by Kelly T. Oxford, 46, Arkansas City, turned east on U.S. 54 from Kansas 99 crossed the centerline and hit a semi head-on.

Oxford was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi Michael L. Krokstrom, 44, Humbolt, was transported to Eureka Hospital.

He was properly restrained at the time of the accident. Oxford’s seat belt usage was unknown pending an ongoing investigation.
