BELOIT- A Kansas teen was injured in an accident just before 3 p.m. on Thursday in Mitchell County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 GMC Yukon driven by Russell Alan Lueger, 30, Beloit, was westbound on U.S. 24 and came to construction zone where two vehicles were stopped awaiting traffic.

The Yukon struck the rear of a 1993 Ford F 350 driven by Michael L. Gutierrez, 47, Salina, which struck a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Elaine Kay Gray, 66, Wichita.

A passenger in the Yukon Parker Gates, 17, Beloit, was transported to Mitchell County Hospital.
Lueger, five in the Yukon and Gray were not injured. The KHP reported Gutierrez was possibly injured but not where he was treated.

All were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
