Big first half propels FHSU to blowout win over Bethel

Fort Hays State held Bethel scoreless for 6:17 of the first half and without a field goal for 10:19 in building a 41 point lead and defeat the Threshers 103-54 Saturday afternoon at Gross Coliseum. Bethel hung with the Tigers early, trailing 10-8, but FHSU responded with a 25-2 run including 22 unanswered to take control.

With the win, the Tigers improve to 2-2. The game counts as an exhibition for the Threshers who were playing their third road game in three days.

James Fleming and Achoki Moikobu both came off the bench to lead the Tigers in scoring with 18 points. Dom Samac added 11.
