KANSAS CITY- A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just after 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day in Johnson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 Ford van driven by Hayrettin Sunnetci, 30, Shawnee, was southbound on U.S. 69 just south of 179th in the left lane.

A 2004 Volvo driven by Kelly, H. Zitting, 43, Salt Lake City, UT, was also southbound in the right lane and began to make a lane change to the left.

The Ford made an avoiding maneuver to the left, went off the roadway and rolled multiple times.

Sunnetci was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
Zitting was not injured.

The KHP reported Sunnetci was not wearing a seat belt.
