Kate Lehman led four Fort Hays State Lady Tigers in double-figures with 15 points as FHSU defeats Tabor College 74-44 Saturday afternoon at Gross Coliseum. It’s the fourth straight win for the Lady Tigers who improve to 5-1. Nicola Kacperska scored a career-high 14 points and Jill Faxon added 11.
Tabor was within 16 with 13 minutes to play before FHSU closed the game with an 18-4 run. FHSU held the Bluejays to 14 second half points after giving up 30 in the first half.

Tabor hit eight 3-pointers in the first half to stay in the game. They were within one twice with the ball but failed to take the lead. The Lady Tigers then used a 13-0 run to build a 14 point lead. A 10-2 run pushed the lead to 16 where it stood at halftime.

The Lady Tigers open MIAA play Thursday at home against Central Missouri at 5:30pm.
