Fort Hays State holds Sterling to 22-percent shooting and 21 points in the second half and pull away for a 92-54 victory over the Warriors at Gross Coliseum Saturday afternoon. The Tigers held Sterling without a field goal for the first 7:15 of the second half pushing their lead to 25.
Jared Tadlock led four Tigers in double-figures with a career-high 16 points. Craig Nicholson and Royce Williams add 14 and James Fleming scores 13.

Sterling used red-hot shooting to hang with the Tigers for most of the first half. The game was tied 23-23 with 8:02 when FHSU went on an 18-4 run to build a 14-point lead

FHSU has now won four straight and improves to 4-2. They open MIAA play at home Thursday night against defending national champion Central Missouri.
