A regional conference for current or prospective Farmers Market vendors will be offered by K-State Research and Extension and Kansas Department of Agriculture in Hays on Jan. 30.

The program will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the KSU Ag Research Center. Speakers, breakout sessions and panelists will provide helpful information for those who want to capitalize on the popularity of farmers markets in Kansas.

Topics include getting started, regulations, tips for marketing, sales tax requirements, accepting non-cash payments, labeling, value-added food products and expanding your growing season.

The fee is $25.
