GREAT BEND – A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 7:30 a.m. on Thursday in Barton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Dodge passenger car driven by Debra V. Larkin, 36, Great Bend, was southbound on U.S. 281 two miles south of Hoisington.

The driver lost control due to the ice, crossed the centerline and struck a 2002 Dodge passenger car driven by Krystal Dawn Wohlcke, 36, Hoisington, head on.

Wohlcke was transported to Clara Barton Hospital. Larkin was not injured.

The KHP reported both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
