Kan. man hospitalized after truck collides with a utility pole

Screen Shot 2014-07-03 at 5.13.15 AMCOURTLAND – A Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 7:30 a.m. on Friday in Republic County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Jeffrey J. Giesbrecht, 31, Concordia, was traveling northbound on 50 Road four miles southeast of Courtland.

The truck went into the east ditch and struck a utility pole.

Giesbrecht was transported to Republic County Hospital in Belleville.
The KHP reported he was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
