Kate Lehman and Keriann Shaw both have double-doubles leading the Fort Hays State women’s basketball team to a hard fought 72-56 win over Southwest Baptist Monday night at Gross Coliseum. The victory is the Lady Tigers 11th straight – the third longest win streak in program history – and improves them to 12-1 and 5-0 in the MIAA. The Bearcats fall to 5-6 with their third straight loss and are now 1-3 in the MIAA.

Lehman scores a game-high 20 points while grabbing 11 rebounds and blocking eight shots. Shaw scores 10 and grabs 11 boards, both career high’s. Chelsea Mason adds 15 points.

Lehman is now second on the FHSU all-time rebound list, surpassing  Chris Biser with 904.

The Tigers use a 22-5 second half run to build a 17-point lead after the Bearcats tied the game 33-33 early in the second half.

FHSU returns to action Thursday at 5:30 against Lindenwood in St. Charles, Mo.
