HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) — A Hutchinson man accused of running toward two police officers with a knife in April has pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated assault.
The Hutchinson News reports the Hutchinson officers were responding to a report of a domestic disturbance last year, and when they arrived, they say 53-year-old James Paige Jr. came after them with a knife. Authorities say Paige was hit with a Taser and was then arrested.
On Tuesday, Paige pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and one count of impairment of security interest in the Reno County Courthouse.
His sentencing has been scheduled for Feb. 6.
