JUNCTION CITY – Two people were injured in an accident just before 8:30 p.m. on Sunday in Geary County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Pontiac G6 driven by Jordan Leigh Achilles, 20, Inman, was westbound on Interstate 70 at U.S. 77 just west of Junction City.

The driver lost control on the ice and struck a 1999 Mitsubishi 3000 GT that was parked in the median.

Pedestrians near the Mitsubishi Marc Anthony Banda, 30, Salina, was transported to Geary County Hospital and  Delia Pham, 49, Salina, was transported to Mercy Medical Center.

Achilles was not injured and was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
