HUTCHINSON -Notices were sent to parents of Hutchinson High School on Thursday after a student was found on campus with a BB gun.

The incident was reported just before 3:30 p.m.

The student was detained and law enforcement was notified.

Officials say the student had no malicious intent and no students were in any danger.

The school district said they would handle the situation according to their rules regarding guns on school property.

They will not release the name of the student involved.
