SALINA- Law enforcement officials say a Salina woman used a medical alert pendant to prevent an intruder from entering her home Thursday night
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said at 10:40 p.m. the woman who lives in the 1200 block of Faith Street said she heard a knock at her front door. She looked out and saw no one.
A few minutes later there was another a knock and the woman opened the door.
A man standing at the door pushed it open and knocked the woman to the floor.
She used her medic alert alarm and told the intruder the police would be on the way. The suspect left.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5 foot 6 inches tall and approximately 200 pounds.
He was wearing a white painters mask over his face, dark colored clothing and a dark ball cap.
