Kansas man hospitalized after semis collide in Rush Co.

Screen Shot 2014-07-03 at 5.13.15 AMOTIS – A Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 11 a.m. on Friday in Rush County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Kenworth Semi driven by Kenneth Roach, 75, Great Bend, was southbound on 390th Avenue five miles south of Otis.

The truck came to a stop on a bridge attempting to avoid a small passenger car.

A 1976 International Semi driven by Chris Michael, 56, Great Bend, ran into the back of the Kenworth.

Michael was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital.
Roach was not injured.

The KHP reported Michael was not wearing a seat belt.
