The USD 489 Board of Education has delayed the vote on providing funding to complete the BuildFASTproject. Approximately 83% of the project cost has been donated, but the committee has approached the school board requesting help to finish the fitness facility. Board Member Greg Schwartz says the committee gave its best effort to raise the funds, and now he supports covering the remaining costs.
Schwartz suggested delaying the vote until February 6th to provide time to educate the community on the benefits of completing the project and the funding available for it. A work session will be held next Monday to discuss what work remains to be done.
