Chambers of commerce from throughout the region are warning of potential scam phone calls.

Several chambers in the state, including northwest Kansas, have received the calls seeking private information about businesses and businesses owners.

Some purport to be representing the American Chamber of Commerce, and callers hang up if information is not provided.

Business owners are advised to call their local chamber official if they receive suspicious phone calls seeking information.
