THAYER –Two people were injured in an accident just after 11:30 p.m. on Monday in Neosho County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Ford F-150 driven by Douglas M. Holt, Cherryvale, was southbound on U.S.169 three miles north of Thayer and collided with a northbound 2015 Chevy Spark driven by Stephen B. Bitting, 60, Bluejacket, OK., in the center of the roadway.

Holt and Bitting were transported to Neosho Memorial Hospital. Bitting was later flown to Wesley Medical Center.

The KHP reported they were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
