A major winter storm has dumped over 10 inches of snow in Hays and has affected travel throughout the state.

The Kansas Department of Transportation  listed many Kansas roadways as completely snowpacked earlier and even closed some highways, including portions of Interstate 70. All roads in the state are open again but some still pose a danger to motorists with ice and snow.
