PRATT– Authorities have identified the elderly woman killed in a two-vehicle accident near Pratt over the weekend.

The Pratt County Sheriff’s office reported a 2003 Pontiac Vibe driven by Velma Base, 87, Garden City, was westbound on U.S. 54 eight miles west of Pratt just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Witnesses at the scene reported heavy rain at the time and the Pontiac crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound 2012 Honda driven by Sang Ngoc To, 52, Garden City.

Base was ejected pronounced dead at the scene.

Pratt County Emergency Services transported Ngoc To and Que Thi Nguyen, 53, Garden City, to Pratt Regional Medical Center. They remain hospitalized with serious injuries.

Authorities say the weather was a likely factor in the crash.
