After some morning showers end, additional thunderstorms will develop in the early afternoon across far southwestern Kansas. During the afternoon and evening, these thunderstorms will spread across the remainder of southwestern Kansas and into central Kansas. The strongest of these thunderstorms will be capable of hail up to the size of tennis balls and possibly tornadoes.
