HAYS — A Norton woman was injured in an accident just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday in Ellis County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1995 Buick Regal driven by Rosetta Pauline White, 76, Stockton, was northbound on U.S. 183 just north of Hopewell Road.

The vehicle went left of center and struck a 1993 Dodge Spirit driven by Michele E. Donovan, 52, Norton, head-on in the southbound lane.

Donovan was transported to Hays Medical Center. White was not injured.

Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
