SALINA- Two people were injured in an accident just before 9 p.m. on Thursday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy truck driven by Thomas R. Austin, 20, Cedar City, UT., was northbound U.S. 81 two miles north of Interstate 70 in the driving lane.

The driver wasn’t paying attention. The vehicle veered across the passing lane to the inside shoulder. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle rolled into the median.

Austin and a passenger Mason L. Husted, 21, Minneapolis, were transported to Salina Regional Medical Center.

They were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
