FAA: All US United Continental flights grounded UPDATE

The FAA reported just after 9 a.m. that the ground stop for United Airlines is lifted, although passengers should expect residual delays. Flights to and from Hays Regional Airport are experiencing significant delays according to airport manager Nathan Marcucci.

All United Continental flights in the U.S. were grounded due to computer problems. Officials at airport across Kansas are working to determine the impact on flights scheduled for Wednesday.

United Airlines flights out of its hub in Denver are delayed because of problems with airline’s computer system.

The airport’s website shows early morning flights are scheduled to leave between an hour to three hours late on Wednesday. Some shorter distance flights were still listed as being on time.

United says it’s working to resolve the problems, which are related to “network connectivity.”

NEW YORK (AP) — All United Continental flights in the U.S. are currently grounded due to computer problems. Officials at Hays Regional Airport are working to determine the impact on flights scheduled for Wednesday. Expect possible delays.

United said in a statement on Wednesday that it is working to resolve the problems, which are related to “network connectivity.”

It is the second time in two months that the Chicago carrier has been hit by major technical issues.

United Continental Holdings Inc. had a temporary halt to all takeoffs in the U.S. on June 2 because of what the airline said were computer automation issues.

Its stock declined slightly in premarket trading.
