SALINA – Law enforcement authorities in Saline County are investigating a theft from the bank account of a Salina man. They say it may be connected to the ATM skimmers discovered late last week.

Police say Lawrence Bruzda reported $303 had been withdrawn twice from his bank account from an ATM in Pearl, Mississippi and another ATM in Lewisville, Texas on Monday.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said it is possible this case could be connected to the discovery of skimmers found on ATM’s at the Sunflower Bank locations in Salina on Thursday.

The skimmer on the ATM at the branch on South Ohio Street was removed before police arrived.
