EMPORIA, Kan. (AP) — Emporia police are investigating after a woman was struck and killed by a train.

KWCH reports the woman was hit by the train Tuesday afternoon in Emporia. Police Chief Scott Cronk says the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She has not been identified.

Cronk says the area where the woman was hit has electronic signals and crossing arms.
