The Sternberg Museum of Natural History is offering a journey to the bottom of the Cretaceous Sea.
The program will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 1 beginning with dinner and discussions about Kansas during the Cretaceous. Then, tour the galleries of the museum to learn more about where participants will be hunting for fossils. Finally, the group will all drive south of town to hunt for fossils and impressions.
This hands-on event is open to families. Each family must have their own transportation. The cost is $12 for members ($60 maximum per family) or $15 for the general public ($75 maximum per family.)
