WICHITA- A Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Kenworth semi driven by Jesus Barahona-Pineda, 56, Wichita, was southbound on Interstate 135 just south of Mt. Vernon.

The truck left the roadway to the right, went through the KDOT fence and struck a tree.

Barahona-Pineda was transported to Wesley Medical Center.

He was properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
