JACKSON COUNTY – A Kansas teen was injured in an accident just before 8:30a.m. on Thursday in Jackson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Daniel Edward Simon, 19, Mayetta, was north bound on U.S. 75 just north of 126th Road.

The pickup left the roadway on the east side and struck a delineator post.

Simon was transported to Stormont Vail in Topeka.

He was properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.
