WICHITA – A Kansas man died in an accident just after 10 a.m. on Friday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Buick passenger vehicle driven by Delores E. Cool, 82, Wichita, was northbound on Interstate 135 from 13th Street North.

The vehicle merged into traffic. The driver lost control and struck the east KDOT concrete barrier.

Cool and passenger in the vehicle Donald E. Cool, 84, Park City, were transported to Wesley Medical Center where he died. They were not wearing seat belts according to the KHP.

Another passenger in the vehicle Matthew Allen Puetz, 38, Wichita, refused treatment.
