Linda Beech, Ellis County Extension Agent, will offer free pressure canner gauge tests from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Downtown Hays Market, 10th and Main.

USDA recommends the dial gauge of a pressure canner should be tested for accuracy every year. Bring the lid only (the weight is not needed) and have the gauge checked while you shop.
