HUTCHINSON – Fire crews had to battle hot temperatures and a stubborn structure fire in the 100 block of West 12th Street in Hutchinson Monday.
Few flames, but a lot of smoke was coming from the roof of the pink residence when fire units arrived.
They opened the roof and that was enough for flames to come shooting out.
According to Fire Chief Kim Forbes the fire was hard to get to due to a number of enclosed areas in the upper floors that had been divided into apartments.
There were no injuries reported.
Cause of the fire is under investigation.
