JUNCTION CITY — A Junction City physician made his first court appearance in Geary County District Court on Friday morning.

Dr. Allan D. Holiday, Jr. was arrested Thursday on suspicion of aggravated sexual battery after police say they received a complaint involving a 16-year old juvenile.

Holiday is due back in Geary County Court on August 6 for a status check and preliminary hearing.

He is an orthopedic surgeon with Flint Hills Orthopedic, Sports Medicine and practices at Geary Community Hospital.

The Geary County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Holiday Jr. is free on $50,000 bond.

Geary Community Hospital officials have confirmed that Holiday is temporily suspended, and that the Hospital is seeking a temporary orthopedic surgeon to take care of the Hospital’s patients.
