WICHITA – Three people were injured in an accident just before 11a.m. on Tuesday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by William C. Briley, 72, Wichita, was northbound on Interstate 135.

The driver attempted to make a left turn through the median from northbound Interstate 135 to southbound 135.

A 1998 Dodge Dakota driven by Leonard Joseph Schafers, Newton, struck the PT Cruiser on the northbound side of Interstate135.

Briley, Schafers and a passenger in the Dakota Aleta D. Schafers, 59, Newton were transported to Wesley Medical Center.

Aleta Schafers was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
