JUNCTION CITY – Law enforcement authorities in Geary County are investigating two men arrested on Interstate 70 on Tuesday with a large amount of cash.

The Junction City Police Department reported Matthew D.  Markey, 28, Tennessee, and Derrick James Lowery, 26, Colorado were arrested on suspicion of Transporting Drug Proceeds, Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Following Too Close.

The men were traveling in a 2004 BMWi and carrying cash totaling over $78, 540, according to police.
