The Hays USD 489 Board of Education will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Toepfer Board Room in the Rockwell Administration Center, 323 W. 12th.

Among the topics scheduled to be discussed is a report from the Hays High Student Council about this weekend’s Homecoming activities and events. Melanie Folkerts, foreign language teacher at Hays High School, and Johnny Matlock, choral director at Hays High, also will present to the board how technology is being used in their respective programs.

The board will also continue to asses objectives and strategies for the district set at the board retreat, as well as hear a report from Shanna Dinkel, director of curriculum, on changes in curriculum and state assessments.
