WILSON COUNTY – A Kansas teen died in an accident just before midnight on Sunday in Wilson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup driven by William Earl Jones, 15, Parsons, was eastbound on U.S. 400 at 15th Street.

The pickup crossed the centerline into the path of an westbound semi.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Frontier Forensics.

The semi driver William C. Southerland, 54, Noble, MO., and a passenger were not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
