BARTON COUNTY -A man from Russell was injured in an accident just before 6p.m. on Monday in Barton County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1996 Kenworth semi driven by Bradley Starks, 39, Russell, was westbound on Kansas 4 one mile west of U.S. 281.

The truck left the roadway on the north side, traveled through the north ditch, vaulted NW 50th Avenue and traveled into a field on the west side of NW 50th Avenue.

Starks was transported to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington.

He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
