NWS: Strong wind gusts reported across the state on Monday

DODGE CITY- The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for most of central Kansas on Monday.

The strongest gust of 47 miles-per-hour was recorded in Newton, according to the National Weather Service.

Gusts of 46 miles-per-hour were reported in Hutchinson, Russell, Garden City, Dodge City, and in Scott County.

Gusts of 45 miles-per-hour were reported at the Hays Regional Airport.

McPherson County had gusts of 43 and Salina had gusts of 41 miles-per-hour.

The wind will continue to blow across most of Kansas on Tuesday. The National weather service did not issue an advisory.
