KDWPT Game Wardens

SHERMAN COUNTY–With the help of a local landowner, Sherman County KDWPT Game Warden Mike Hopper recovered a golden eagle in a field near Goodland.

The bird was transported to the Milford Nature Center in Junction City and later to the K-State Veterinary Hospital in Manhattan.

While tests are still pending, it appears the bird may have collided with a power line and injured its wing.
