Kan. woman arrested for alleged theft of father’s gun, cash

SALINA- Law enforcement authorities in Saline County are investigating an alleged theft of a weapon and cash.

Kassandra Bethe, 26, Salina, is accused of taking a Ruger .380 pistol and $50 in cash from the home of her father, 60-year-old Douglas Bethe, in the 2100 block of Pheasant Lane on Sunday morning, according to Salina Police Captain Chris Trocheck.

She allegedly then told police the gun was taken from the driver’s side door of her vehicle sometime after she arrived at work Tuesday morning.

Bethe was booked into the Saline County Jail on Tuesday evening on a requested charge of felony theft.

The missing gun is valued at $275, according to police.
