GARDEN CITY – Two children were injured in an accident just before 4p.m. on Thanksgiving Day in Finney County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1989 Ford van driven by Gregory J. Griffin, 37, Colby, was westbound on U.S. 50 just west of Garden City.
The van traveled partially across the bridge over Kansas Avenue, hit a patch of ice, crossed the eastbound lane of traffic and hit the guardrail.
Passengers in the van Konner Griffin, 14, and Gracie Griffin, 11, both of Colby were transported to St. Catherine hospital.
The driver and another passenger Emily Griffin, 37, Colby, were not injured.
Gracie Griffin was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
