Free E-file income tax preparation assistance is available at various site around the state.

The assistance sites are a partnership between the Kansas Department of Revenue and the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. The program offers tax help to low and moderate income residents.

To find the nearest VITA site, call 1-800-906-9887, and a list of AARP tax sites is available by calling 1-888-227-7669.

AARP also has tax assistance sites available to people 60 and older.
