At 4 p.m. Wednesday the officers of the Hays VFW will present $500 to First Call for Help at their office in the Hadley Center, 205 E. 7th St. Suite 204. 

Along with the officers from the VFW, First Call for Help members will be at the ceremony.

First Call for Help offers programs to people in need of assistance in Ellis County, including Meals on Wheels and emergency cash assistance.
