Registrations are currently being accepted for the Smoky Hill Calling Contest is set from from Sunrise to Sunset Jan. 9 in WaKeeney.

The event is a 2-man team hunt, with entries accepted until 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8.

The event will feature prizes for largest youth coyote, a guaranteed payout of $500 and a raffle for a Thompson Center Venture .223 rifle.

An entry fee of $80 will include dinner, with all proceeds going to youth shooting sports.
